Some Furious Tempests Up In This Mo’!

Hello my lovelies.

I’m very, very excited to announce that book five now has a title!

TEMPEST’S FURY!

I’m picturing Jane all RAWR!

And the sky’s all FIZZLEWHIZBANG!

And Anyan’s all GRRRR…

Official plotting of the book five will begin soon, and will definitely be more in-depth than that. She says, with confidence.

In other news, Jaye Wells and I are blogging over at Babel Clash for the next two weeks. We’ve already had a week of posts, then we’ll have a recess over the weekend during which Kim Harrison will be posting some stuff, and then we’ll be back on Monday.

As for me, I’m having a quiet weekend this week, but I am getting some fun reading done. I just finished Allison Pang’s Brush of Darkness, and I really enjoyed it. It’s very funny, and I think fans of Jane True would definitely like Allison’s style. Now I’m reading Nalini Singh’s Archangel’s Consort, and I adore it. I really love Nalini’s books, and this series is fabulous. If you haven’t given her a shot, please do! Her worldbuilding is amazing, and although she’s Paranormal Romance, her books are every bit as complex as any UF out there. And soooo sexy!

So what about you? Any of y’all doing something exciting, of which I can be envious, or reading anything really good you wanna share?

  1. You know I love some Jane news, especially if Anyon is involved. Great title. BTW, is he modeled off someone you know? If so, care to introduce me? hehe

  2. I love the title, though I am still holding out for Tempest's Bledsoe!!!

I just finished Heather Graham's DEADLY HARVEST and it was fantastic! Her books are probably the closest thing I have to a literary guilty pleasure. They're just so much fun. Now I'm work through WHEN GODS DIE by CS Harris.

  3. Alexandria: YES. Any other questions? 😉

Elle: Is Anyan modeled off someone I know? Hmmm . . . honestly, there's some bits of past lovers in him. The hair. The nose. A few other things. But all knit together by a thick coating of sweet, delicious fantasy. 😉

John: I will check those out! And Tempest Bledsoe is going to be AMAZING. Excitement. Danger. Romance. Theo's shenanigans . . .

  4. I'm currently reading two books, which I do less often than you might thknk. The first is Ford Madox Ford's The Good Soldier which I'm teaching on my Modern Novel and Time course. The second is the first in Jabet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series which a friend bought for my birthday.

As for this weekend, we're grading through to Ottawa with done friends to skate the canal, eat beavertails (don't ask what they are, cos I'm not entirely sure) and maybe see the Canadian parliament. Oh, and if we make it back in time we should be going Blues dancing Sunday evening. If should be a fab weekend 🙂

  5. Nalini Singh's archangel series is one of my favorites. I want an archangel!

I just finished Kresley Cole's latest and her books are always enjoyable. I'm waiting on Tuesday to roll so I can get some new Jeaniene Frost and Kim Harrison and Jennifer Armentrout and Richelle Mead. My girls have discovered the joy of Buffy the Vampire Slayer re-runs and like to film themselves re-enacting scenes from the show. My youngest even picked up a small stick on the way to school and said it was her stake. LOL I love my crazy kids.

    Can't wait for Tempest's Fury!

  6. I've only got the first book in the series so far, but I have it as an audio book. I had no idea how Anyan's name was spelt – for ages I thought it was onion! I just couldn't figure out why that would be a name! Anyan makes much more sense 😉

  7. BOCD in the car: LABYRINTH: Greywalker #5 – Kat Richardson, UF, CD 11 of 11

Purse book: RED-HEADED STEPCHILD: Sabina Kane #1 – Jaye Wells, UF, chap 6

Bedside book #1: FOREST MOON RISING: A Tess Noncoire Adventure – P R Frost, UF, chap 6

Bedside book #2 – ARSENIC AND OLD PAINT: Art Lovers Mystery #4 – Hailey Lind, amateur sleuth, chap 15

Nothing exciting going on here. Looking forward to one more day of a three day weekend with Lady K. There's a Supernatural marathon tomorrow on TNT!!

  8. Oh, how I lol'd at Tempest's Bledsoe! Actually, this whole post made my dog jump in annoyance as I disturbed his nap.

I've been reading Anna Karenina for the last twenty years and I don't know what I have gotten myself into….

I cannot wait until the next Jane True story is released. This is the tradeoff for snatching books as soon as they hit the shelves. Many thanks for all of the wonderful music and book suggestions here to help pass the time!

  9. Louisa: Ooo that sound fun! I've never read Janet Evanovich, but I want to! Did you read Sarah Water's last book? I unearthed it the other day and can't wait to read it.

Leigh Ann: I don't know if I could handle an archangel. I think I'm too goofy. 😉 And thank you! I'm excited, too. Your kids sound awesome!

Vickie: I approve heartily of that list! 😉 Enjoy!

Schmoo: I think I should at least dedicate that book to Tempest Bledsoe, for giving me such hilarity all these years. LOL And I LOVE Anna Karenina! Oh, Vronsky, you cad! Such a great book. But yes, it's a stonker! HUGE! Good luck finishing! Just to warn you, it doesn't end happily! 😉

Alexandria: We had a massive snow storm. It was awful! I think we have a bit till spring, still.
