The Day Before The Day!

Today’s June 30th, which is the day before the OFFICIAL LAUNCH of Tracking the Tempest!

I know there’s been loads of congrats and interviews posted and stuff like that, which I totally appreciate and adore, but my technical, Orbit-declared release date is July 1st, so that’s what I’m going with, people!

And no, it’s not so I get basically a three day release party. It’s really not! I promise. 😉 Okay, I wouldn’t believe me, either.

There is SO MUCH going on to celebrate my release I don’t know where to start, so I’ll start with the biggies:

Kat Richardson, one of my favorite people and writers, made me cry talking about Jane. Kat’s a writer I always use as an example of why I love writing UF. Our books are SO different, yet we can appreciate each other’s writing and we publish under the same genre. I love that! You can see a blurb for TR from Kat on Tracking, and if you haven’t read her books, do so immediately. Her series is awesome–one of the smartest, most well-developed UF series out there.

Today, I’m also over at Bitten By Books, chatting with folks and giving a way a new Kindle. Come by to chat and see how to enter, here!

Carolyn Crane, one of the sweetest Leaguers out there, is giving away a copy of Tracking. I’ll be with Carolyn at both RomCon and our Denver signing. She’s a GREAT addition to the UF community: generous, fabulous, and hilarious!

I’ve also got an interview and a giveaway for Tempest Rising up at Literary Escapism.

Tomorrow, on the official launch, I’ll also be revealing the prizes for two big contest I’ll be doing: one at the League of Reluctant Adults, and one here on my site. So come back tomorrow, y’all!

Right now I’ve gotta go do some stuff to get ready for my signing with Jaye Wells here in Shreveport. If you’re in the area, come on down! We’ll be chatting, snarking, and maybe kicking the crap out of each other. Check my appearances page for more details. 😉

  1. I just got back from the bookstore, and guess what I bought? Guess!! You're right! "Night of the Living Deed" by EJ Copperman! Oh, and something purple by someone named Neeler? Neeper? Peeper? Something like that. I think it's called Trucking a Teapot? It looked pretty funny, though, so I bought it =).

  2. Happy release week! I picked up Tracking the Tempest yesterday. I'm only about half way through, but I love it so far. I don't want to put any spoilers on here, so I will try to be careful with what I say. All I can say about Ryu is hmm . . . (that's a growly hmm btw, ha ha). I did peek ahead to the end (I can't help myself) and now I can't wait for Tempest's Legacy. After reading TR I thought there were hints of a potential love interest, so I like the direction that part of the story is going. Anyway, just had to say I absolutely love Jane, she cracks me up. I love when a book is so good I laugh out loud and my daughter looks at me like I'm nuts. And your books certainly do that for me, so thank you for sharing your wonderful stories with us.

  3. Zita: HAHAHAHA Trucking a Teapot is DEFINITELY the name of a future bestseller!! LOL I hope you enjoy it!

Dawn: Awww, thanks sweetie! And I'm terrible about reading endings first, as well. And I MIGHT just scan through books looking for sex scenes. Maybe. Juuuuust maybe. 😉 But thanks so much for the kind words and I'm very glad you're enjoying the book!

  4. I am an avid reader – and I instantly fell in love with the first book last year when I stumbled across it in Borders. I pre-ordered Tracking as soon as amazon made it available and it came on Monday (a little early, I believe…?) I am about 60 pages from finishing…. it's even better then the first. I love this series and hope that there are more then just the 3. And, hats off to the artist. I must admit that I don't think I would have ever picked this up if not for the absolutely beautiful artwork on the cover.

Jane's libido rocks! And Ryu **sigh**… I love the cast of supes and the fact that there is so much mythology that could be explored since this series isn't just vamps and weres.

Keep them coming! I love 'em!

  5. Congrats Nicole!!! Looks like i have a date to go to Borders. 🙂 Good luck in the Smackdown rematch. I wish I could be there. I love both yours and Jaye's books. Keep us posted on the results…after you bail yourself out of jail. 😉
